No offense, but its true! In a pleasent way.
It's so refreshing to get out with the family and just enjoy life.
There’s a time for business and there’s a time for life. This was
just one of those times for life.
The plain simple life that gets overlooked all too often by the
pressures and self made goals of people like us. And even or
especially goals made by those around us either professionally or
not. But, dead lines none the less.
Today after, an extremely hellish 72 hours, marked a turn towards
what IT IS really all about.
For all we really have is Today and each other. And those around
you not only enforce WHO you are, but also WHAT you are.
In the last few days I’ve been put through so many emotional
rollercoasters, I thought I couldn’t possibly get hit from any
other side…. I was wrong..
But I had today, and I had those around me. That was enough,
for today.
Today I left my home and headed to Robars Family Farm located ten
miles outside of Scranton PA for what we so desperately needed.
Time.
Time to be with ourselves, and with each other and time for
ourselves to be who we really are. Time to GIVE, and not think
solely of ourselves and our daily goings on.
But of that, of our daughter who means eternity to both of us.
She has a sister from another relationship, but, I will get to
that beautiful soul whom I cherish more than life itself, in
another episode…
Today I watched as this totally free spirit sprinted among all
the oversized jungle gyms the eye can withstand in a single
glimpse until it was time to move on to other features and
attractions. And we watched, as she darted to and fro from one
area to another, pony rides, petting zoo’s, huge bouncing things
that no civilized man in his right mind should ever consider
placing foot on. Without the explicit consent of his current
physician.
And all the pressured cares were washed away in one brief moment
in time.
And it all climaxed from a crescendo of squeals and gufaws
eminating from the crowd as a multitude of swine ran around like
pigs in a pigs race.. Who am I kidding? IT “WAS” a bunch of pigs in a
pigs race. Which had us cheering like loons in anticipation of a
winner…
And not for one moment there after did we not truly realize that
it was us, who were the true winners this day. For this day, we
were who we ARE.
And not what others thought of us who we cared to be portrayed as.
Or how we cared to be perceived as or required to BE as.
We were ourselves. and in that note I’ll leave you with this…
To always, ALWAYS, Be Yourself. for that IS who YOU truly are!
God Bless
Peace
Dan–
